About the night
Thao Cao plays the UN Irish Pub in Chiang Mai on Friday 13 November 2026 at 20:00, a Punch-up Live night that runs to about 22:30. Ian Harvey Stone hosts, Scottish comedian Kevin Marsh features, and an opening act is announced on the night. Admission is for ages 18 and over.
Cao is a Vietnamese-Australian comedian from Sydney who has done stand-up for more than a decade in pubs, clubs and festivals across Australia, Europe and the UK, including the Edinburgh Fringe. The promoter calls her deadpan, droll and very funny, and has her dropping in on Friday the 13th before she drops dead. What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Funnier is her 50-minute show about near-death experiences, racism on public transport and a lifetime of having her name mangled. It opens with a contamination event and ends with a humanitarian crisis.
Online tickets are ฿400 through Ticketmelon, marked coming soon when we checked on 23 October. The ฿300 early bird shows none left, and the poster prints ฿450. Ticketmelon names the online ticket for 13th Oct; the show is on 13 November.
