About the night
Dr Jason Leong brings In Laughing Memory to Lancaster Bangkok on Saturday 29 August 2026. After losing one of his best friends to cancer, the Malaysian doctor-turned-comedian responded by writing his most personal stand-up hour: a show about grief, love and the ways laughter can sit alongside loss.
Leong is known internationally for the Netflix specials Hashtag Blessed and Ride With Caution, as well as appearances on Comedy Central. In 2022 he became the first Southeast Asian comedian featured at the Just For Laughs comedy festival. In Laughing Memory puts the storytelling side of his comedy at the centre, using the perspective of both a medical doctor and touring performer without turning a difficult subject into a lecture.
The Bangkok performance follows his sold-out 2023 visit with the Why Are You Like This? world tour and is presented by The Comedy Club Bangkok for one night only. The show starts at 20:00 at Lancaster Bangkok on Phetchaburi Road. Seating is sold by zone and is unreserved within each zone, so arriving early gives ticket holders the widest choice of seats. Tickets are ฿1,400.
