About the night

The Comedy Laughter Lab and Slow Social Club run a comedy writing workshop at Arcadia Live on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 3pm to 5pm. The poster sums up the method: write, perform, get feedback, rewrite, perform again.

Sessions cover what makes a joke work, turning funny stories into material, improving jokes you already have, finding your own comic voice, timing and delivery, and stage presence. Feedback comes from the other comics at the table. Slow Social Club calls it a slow, laid-back afternoon to practise speaking in front of a group at your own pace. It says shy people are welcome, and beginners and women especially.

The fee is ฿300. To book, RSVP on Slow Social Club's Meetup page, pay by PromptPay to 065 535 2577 and send them the receipt.

Arcadia Live is at Bangkok 2049 on Sukhumvit Plus 1 Alley, a short walk from BTS Phra Khanong.
