About the night

A beginner group class in acting for camera at Illuminate Acting Academy, above the Royal Oak on Sukhumvit Soi 33/1, near BTS Phrom Phong. It runs every Saturday from 11:15am to 2:15pm. The academy's website and flyers are in English but do not say which language the classes are taught in, so ask when you book.

The academy's founder, Erich Fleshman, teaches. The academy says he has 30 years in Hollywood and Asian film and trained under a protégé of Sanford Meisner. Its training page says admissions are rolling and sessions are mixed-level.

The academy does not publish prices. To book a place, message it on Instagram or Facebook, or book an appointment through its website. It also runs an advanced class on Thursday evenings, online classes and private coaching.
