The challenge of creativity lies in freeing oneself from self-imposed constraints, but once freed what do you do with the output of this? What stays, what goes, and why?
When you write something “you wouldn’t say,” what can you do with it? And how can you write more in line with what you would say, or want to say, without breaking the no rules nature of creativity as play?
If these are questions you’ve dealt with, then this workshop is for you.
The workshop outlines some of the fundamental mechanics of humor and performance as communication, and with that presents a repeatable method for examining and editing one’s own creative output to match messaging, theme, or general voice.
The workshop looks at our inherent selection process, and offers clarity on what we are seeking in that process, and from this exposes its limitations.
